Athletic Hitting Development is a complete, education-first, fact-based hitting system built around science, real-world experience, factual evidence and logic. The goal is not to turn hitters into robots. It is to help each hitter become the most effective version of their own athletic swing.

After decades of playing, coaching and scouting, Billy Kehoe began looking at hitting from a different perspective: instead of starting with another philosophy, start with the evidence.
The motivation came from seeing too many contradictory, cookie-cutter approaches in hitting instruction. In 2003, he wiped the slate clean of preconceived notions and began an intensive study of what accomplished hitters actually had in common.
Playing, coaching and scouting created the real-world foundation for the system.
The process started with charting swing plane and quality of contact across youth, high school, college and professional games.
World-class hitters were studied to identify common movements and performance traits rather than cosmetic sameness.
What began with the swing grew into complete hitter development: The Swing, Strength & Explosiveness, Mental Training and the Hitting Processor.
Build conclusions from observable performance, biomechanics, physics, video and what consistently transfers to game pitching.
Successful hitters can look different. We evaluate performance consequences and common high-level movements, not cosmetic sameness.
The hitter should understand what to do, why it matters, how to train it and how to self-correct.
A good swing is only one part. Physical capacity, pitch processing, timing, decisions and mental performance must work with it.
The swing should put the hitter in the best position to create solid contact while producing maximum usable force and an effective bat-to-ball angle. Athletic position, balance, sequencing, barrel accuracy and adjustability all serve that larger performance goal.
The ball does not care about the theory. It gives feedback. Observe the result, trace the first breakdown, train the highest-value priority and reassess whether the change transfers.
The Swing
Strength & Explosiveness
Mental Training
The Hitting Processor
The complete hitter needs all four.
Athletic Hitting Development is built on decades of study and field experience, but the real test is whether it helps actual athletes and families. That is why the feedback matters.
